Huge Turnout in Northfield
The Northfield and Norwich University community came out in force last night in support of breast cancer awareness and research. Over 500 people came out on a F-R-E-E-Z-I-N-G cold night to watch the Norwich University women's hockey team play against St. Michael's College.
Norwich wore special pink jerseys, while Saint Mike's players used pink tape on their sticks and socks. Hundreds of people in the crowd proudly wore pink shirts, pink hats, and, I even saw two people sharing a pink Snuggie.
Norwich ulitmately won the game, 6-0 (they're an awfully good team this year), but just as impressive was the turnout, the enthusiasm, and the support not only for women's hockey at Norwich University but also for cancer awareness and cancer research.
Hats off, Norwich and Northfield.
