Doing the Math in Northfield
Friday, May 07, 2010
Look, I'm actually a pretty modest guy. Maybe even humble. But sometimes I'm right, they're wrong, and I just want to make sure people know.
So...
Today I was at an inspection for a home for sale in Northfield. There was a discrepancy of .2 acres. An acres is roughly 45,000 square feet. So, you don't need to be one of the many PhD mathemeticians from Norwich University that I know to figure out that .2 acres is roughly 9000 square feet.
Not 900 square feet, as the person doing the inspection insisted. I corrected him. He re-corrected (or re-incorrected) me. But just so you all know: I was right. On the other hand, I'd love to have this guy bill me for carpet...
