Barre Homes for Sale

I spent Saturday afternoon at an open house for my listing at 13 Woodland Drive in Barre.  One couple actually stayed for a little more than an hour.  They walked through the house a couple of times, went out to the yard, came back in, went back out.  Now, I’m not saying that my having sandwiches (Simply Subs 2) didn’t keep them around for a little longer than usual, but still…

These were buyers who were looking for a couple of specific things in a home for sale in Barre. 

  • They wanted to downsize a little from their present house. 
  • They wanted to not have a mortgage payment. 
  • They wanted a house that didn’t need a lot of work.

And that’s my point.  For sheer cost/feature ratio, there are some homes for sale in Barre that just boggle my mind.  In a good way.   If I hear one more person tell me that the schools in Barre aren’t very good, I’m going to blow a gasket.   The elementary schools, the middle schools, Spaulding, and the Tech Center provide quality education.  Does everyone go to Harvard?  Nope.  Do some people?  Yup.

I get a lot of people who call in looking to buy houses that are in good condition, within walking distance to town, and with a little yard for under $200,000.  There are probably 20 of those homes for sale in Barre.
